Author Guidelines
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors must ensure their manuscripts meet all of the following requirements. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned for revision prior to peer review.
- The manuscript is aligned with the aims and scope of INTRA Journal, reflecting interdisciplinary research and innovation across education, policy, social sciences, or technology.
- The submission includes a clear and informative title, a 150–200 word abstract, and 3 to 5 keywords that reflect the main themes of the article.
- The full manuscript is between 6,000 and 9,000 words, excluding references and content embedded in tables, charts, or figures.
- The document is submitted as a single Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) file with all tables and figures included within the text at their intended locations.
- The manuscript is formatted with 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides, double-spaced, and uses a 12-point font (Times New Roman or similar). No bullets or numbered lists are used unless essential to the content.
- The submission follows the formatting and citation guidelines of the APA 7th Edition, including:
- Indenting the first line of each paragraph by 0.5 inch (1.27 cm)
- Sentence-case formatting for article and book titles
- Proper formatting of tables and figures
- The language is professional and clear, written in English, and has been thoroughly reviewed for grammar, punctuation, and structure. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to use a professional editing service before submission.
- All author details are provided, including full names, institutional affiliations (if applicable), email addresses, and ORCID iDs.
- If any AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly) were used during the preparation of the manuscript, their use must be transparently described in a footnote or methodology section. AI cannot be listed as an author.
- The manuscript is fully anonymized for peer review, with all identifiable author information removed from the document text, file properties, and citations. Citations to the author’s own work should be referenced as “Author, Year.”
- The work is original and is not under consideration elsewhere nor previously published in any form. Any exceptions must be explained in the “Comments to the Editor” section during submission.
- If human participants were involved in the study, the manuscript confirms compliance with ethical research standards, including relevant IRB or ethics board approval, with reference to this in the methodology or footnote.
- The corresponding (first) author agrees to serve as a reviewer for INTRA Journal when invited.
- The authors confirm that there are no conflicts of interest or have disclosed any relevant relationships or funding sources.
- All necessary permissions for third-party content (e.g., images, charts, excerpts) have been secured in advance of submission.
Author Guidelines
Before submitting, authors must also prepare the following details for inclusion in the “Comments to the Editor” field during the online submission process:
- Total word count (excluding references)
- Total number of references (maximum 50 recommended)
- Number of tables
- Number of figures
- Number of additional graphics (if any)
Figures, tables, and other visuals should not exceed five (5) items combined.
